Some designs take ages to perfect and fiddle with and others jump right out ready to go. The Starburst was one of those easy ones. Almost an afterthought. Even the execution of the design, which sometimes takes years was easy comparatively.

At the time I was deep in another piece requiring many tweaks to get right so I didn’t realize that it was the Starburst Band that was going to resonate with people.

Sometimes it’s just like that. You are sure people will like one thing and it ends up the opposite.
